Our Story
The Sodaro Family’s Estate Vineyard and Winery is located in the world-famous Napa Valley, California. Bringing together some of the most experienced and trusted minds in wine making and vineyard management, Sodaro Estate was meticulously developed from scratch, creating a vineyard of unparalleled diversity and a winery to suit its complexities.
Sitting among the hillsides and alluvial terraces in the heart of wine country, our boutique winery concentrates on limited production Cabernet blends from 100% Estate grown, hand-picked fruit.

A Rich History
Guiseppe Sodaro 1894
Though Sodaro Estate Winery was founded as recently as 1999, the Sodaro Family’s wine lineage reaches as far back as the turn of the 19th century. Founder Donald Sodaro’s grandfather Giuseppe Sodaro was a barrel cooper in Vallelunga, Sicily, making each wine barrel by hand and serving wineries throughout the region. In 1894, a terrible drought engulfed the region, drying the vineyards and leaving little to no fruit in need of barrels. With help from a friend, Giuseppe Sodaro gathered his family of eight and headed for the port of Termini, destination Ellis Island.
Today, Sodaro Estate Winery honors its history and continues a family legacy of passion for and dedication to wine as a compliment of life.
